Senie Priti is an emerging writer, director, and producer.
Senie was shortlisted for the 2025 Australian Writers’ Guild Emerging Writers Awards for her short script Hussk, and is an alum of the AFTRS x VicScreen Talent Camp. Her debut short Alba, which she wrote, directed and produced, received an Honourable Mention for Most Outstanding Emerging Female Director at Flickerfest, and was nominated for Best Actor and Best Young Actor at the St Kilda Short Film Festival.
Senie also co-wrote Shreds of Rainbows, a one-take short shot by Steadicam operator Joel San Juan (Shortcomings, Hunters), and works in production across commercial, branded, and independent film projects. Her most recent narrative project is the feature Westgate, which is set to premiere later in 2025.
With her background in performance, Senie is drawn to character driven storytelling with a focus on exploring flawed female anti-heros and the dynamics of non-traditional family units, often locating stories in small towns and regional areas, like the one she grew up in.
She is currently in pre-production on her next short film and in development on a number of long form projects.
